Five days ago, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that 18 children died in the US so far this year of the flu.  They also said, this is expected to be one of the worst flu outbreaks in 10 years. 

According to New York Daily News, there have already been 15,000 flu cases reported this season.
